Loving Life as It Is: An Embodied Exploration of Buddhist Wisdom
A 12-session online gathering for Yoga, Meditation & Buddhist Wisdom
What if, in the midst of it all (holiday stress, anyone?), you had a regular place to slow down, settle in and reconnect with yourself, others and life?
Beginning October 19, join me for a 12 session online series inspired by Loving Life as It Is: A Buddhist Guide to Ultimate Happiness by Chakung Jigme Wangdrak. We'll explore Buddhist teachings through easy yoga, nervous system regulation, meditation and lively conversation, bringing the ideas from the book into our own lives and experiences.
When life becomes very busy, it can be hard to take pleasure in the small moments. We often move through life in a rush, living each day without fully experiencing it. As we move through the holidays and into the new year, we'll have a welcoming space to pause, unwind and re-enchant life.
Each 90-minute session includes:
Easy yoga & nervous system regulation (40 minutes): Accessible movement and practices to release tension, settle the body and unwind from the day.
Meditation & pranayama (15 minutes): Time to become quiet, work with the breath and deepen awareness.
Buddhist teachings & discussion (35 minutes): Explore themes from the book, reflect on how they relate to our lives, and learn through conversation and shared inquiry.
This is more than a book study or a yoga class. It's an opportunity to explore Buddhist wisdom in an embodied, practical way, while making time for practice, inquiry and community.
Each week we'll explore a chapter from the book, but you don't need to read along to participate. The teachings and discussions will stand on their own, and you're welcome to engage with the book as much or as little as you like.
You don't need to be an experienced yogi, meditator or a Buddhist scholar to join. Whether you're familiar with yoga and Buddhist teachings or simply curious, you'll be welcome. Come with your questions, your experiences and a willingness to explore.
